天気を予測する傘「スマートアンブレラ」

スマートフォンを筆頭に、何でもかんでもスマートにするのが流行りの現代社会ですが、今度は傘をスマートにしようとする試みがあるようです。
Oombrella is a smart umbrella with built-in sensors that collect temperature, pressure, humidity, and light data in real time. The information is processed and shared with other users in the area, ensuring everyone has the most accurate and up-to-date results. If it predicts that it's about to rain, the device sends an alert to your smartphone reminding you to bring the umbrella along. And if you forget your umbrella in a place like a store or restaurant, oombrella sends you a notification via Bluetooth before you can stray too far.
「Oombrella」と名付けられたこのスマート傘は、気温、気圧、湿度、日光のデータをリアルタイムで感知するセンサーが取り付けられています。
集められた情報は、同じエリア内の他のスマート傘使用者に共有され、ユーザー全員が現在の天気に関する情報を正確に得ることが出来ます。
センサーが雨が降ると予測した場合、スマート傘がユーザーのスマートフォンに傘を持っていくように促します。スマート傘をお店やレストランに置き忘れても、ユーザーが遠くに行かないうちにOombrellaが通知を送ります。

The opalescent canopy is constructed from an exclusive material that, according to one of the designers, "makes you feel you are holding an aurora borealis in your hands." この傘のスマート技術は傘の外見にも反映されています。
オパールのような、乳白光を発する傘の天蓋は企業秘密の素材からできており、デザイナーの一人は「手でオーロラをつかんでいるような気持ちにさせます」とコメント。
派手な柄が嫌いな人のためにも、シンプルな黒や白のカラーバリーエーションもあります。
現在商品化に向けてプロジェクトが進行中であり、現在大量生産中とのこと。
今年の10月から本格的に表舞台に立つようです。
